LABS AND EXPERIMENTS OF BIOLOGY

In a high-school biology class, labs and experiments help students better understand concepts by learning through hand-on activities. For example, students use microscopes to observe onions or cheek cells and identify parts of the cell. Another example, they may test how light affects the rate of photosynthesis by counting oxygen bubbles produced by an aquatic plant. Students could also do a gene experiment by using Punnett squares and model organisms to find out inherited traits of living organisms. These labs make Biology more interactive and help students connect classroom lessons to real scientific truths.

*In diffusion, molecules move from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration.
